The 35 mm PG99-35-2 is a licensed copy of the Swiss Oerlikon KDA cannon, manufactured in the late 1980s. It shares the same design and has the same performance as the 35 mm Oerlikon KDA found on different NATO SPAAGs. Unlike the Oerlikon KDA, the PG99-35-2 can fire a shrapnel shell with time fuse (Ahead).
Describe the cannon/machine gun in the game - its distinctive features, tactics of usage against notable opponents. Please don't write a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought.
Summarise and briefly evaluate the weaponry in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark pros and cons as a list.
Pros:
Cons:
In 1952, the Swiss Oerlikon company calculated that 35 mm would be the most optimum calibre for anti-aircraft use. They decided to adapt the 20 mm post-war KAA design for the 35 mm role. The final design that became the belt-fed KDA was produced under the name Mk 323. The KDA is used on the British Marksman AA system, the West German Leopard I-based Gepard, the Polish PT-91 main battle tank-based PZL Loara, and the Japanese Type 74-based Type 87 vehicles, and it can be used with Super Fledermaus radar system.
Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
