Update 1.17 was introduced as late as 9 November 2012.

• Fixed (with 80% proximity) "black square bug" and several other game freezes, BSOD's and other render bugs;
• Some crashes fixed;
• No more black squares on the terrain texture;
• Fixed bug, when parts of aircraft (wheels, etc.) moved out of it;
• Sound level is now the same when you press F1 during the battle;
• Fixed black rivers that used to appear after Alt+Tab;
• Fixed problem with stutter sound of TU-2 when using virtual cockpit view;
• Fixed maps: Alps, Crater, Military base, Corsun;
• Fixed ailerons and elevators in replays.

• Minimized micro-freezes that used to happen when other players swapped planes
• Fixed incorrect collision with the ground when playing with Mouse Aim
• Fixed some client-related graphical issues with bridges, they now should now be of a proper size

• The range of UDP ports used by the game was changed from [5000..5200] to [20010..20210]
