Description

The Curtiss P-36 Hawk, also known as the Curtiss Hawk Model 75 (H-75), was an American-designed and produced fighter aircraft of the 1930s and 40s. It was among the first in a new class of warplanes—a streamlined monoplane with a retractable landing gear that used a lot of metal in its structure. It was a contemporary of the Hawker Hurricane and Messerschmitt Bf 109.
